Lydia Posthuma
Lydia has been involved in the pro-life movement for the past 8 years or so, within various organisations. She was involved in planning the Auckland March for Life in 2020, and through VFL Auckland, is involved in helping organise regular prayer meetings, movie nights, and a training day for early 2024, aimed primarily at equipping medical professionals.
She started with a lot of political campaigning – collecting submissions for the euthanasia and abortion laws etc, and also runs a not-for-profit business, where she raises money and awareness for pregnancy centres, through community-based workshops. Through these workshops, Lydia meets many women from different walks of life, and is able to share more about pregnancy centres and the support they provide to mothers facing an unplanned pregnancy. She desires to show women that the pro-life movement comes from a place of love and caring.
Lydia has some experience being interviewed on TV and will be taking up a role as Media Spokesperson for VFL.
